CRAZU 88 X Touge Factory @ Blackhawk Farms Raceway

A couple weeks ago we joined a few of the guys over at Touge Factory in a suspension testing and wheel swap session at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. This marked Michio's third track event in a three-week span and he showed up this time with four special guests... thanks to Tomasz.

Overall, the atmosphere was pretty chill and there was a good turn out, including participants of all ages with a wide arrangement of cars. It doesn't happen everyday, but it's kind of a neat sight when you see someone easily in their late 50s, on the ground working on a circuit-prepped EF hatch, and then driving it all out through the course during their next session. Makes me hope my Honda, and the Earth's dependence on crude oil, both still exist when I'm getting to a similar age.

OG Chicago Whacker/Kanjo Squad Video

After hearing about the existence of this footage for months, finally it's been dug up and revealed. Some of you may know the driver of the Championship White DC2 -- one of the (if not THE) first ITRs sold in the Chicago-land area -- tearing off through the turns underneath the city. I think he goes by REVGASM or something like that. Haha. Unfortunately, he's been distracted and lost sight of his grip ways.

Top Setup BBQ 2009

This year's TOP SETUP BBQ was an even more low key affair than that of the usual, but nonetheless a good time. And what would a good Chicago-area meet be without a couple Risky Devils crashing the shindig? In other words, some people played, "It's my turn to sit in Mr. Chob's S14/street beast," for awhile -- hahaha. Too bad he got rid of his Type R, otherwise I would have joined in on the fun.

Thanks again Charlie for having us! Oh yeah, and for the traditionally awesome catering. TOP SETUP never skimps on the quality!

ITR at The Ring

Just a little video of a ITR running a 8.44 on The Ring, Nurburgring for those of you that are not to familiar with the track. There are some points where time can be made, but all in all it is still a very respectable time.

Afterhours Assault Mission

Michio installed his front sway bar and finally gave his car a much needed deep clean/wax. So, a grassroots session at 3:00am in it's natural habitat was definitely in good taste.

Something seems off about this recent BMI clip; either the driver or the suspension -- or both -- seem a bit off in sections. Then again, maybe I just expected more from one of the latest J's Racing S2000s.
